The Unwritten Rules
Read before you land
Grenadians value politeness and community. These are not suggestions. They are how you get welcomed.
Greetings are golden. Say "Good morning," "Good afternoon," or "Good evening" before anything else. Jumping straight to your request is considered rude.
Cover up off the beach. Beachwear stays at the beach. Modest clothing when entering shops, markets, or villages.
Keep your volume down. The island moves gently. Match it.
Ask before you snap. Always ask permission before photographing locals, especially at the market.
No camouflage. Ever. It is illegal for civilians to wear camo in Grenada. Leave it at home.
